Bassline Fitness Offers Free Classes for Dec. 13-15 Open House

Downtown Kirkland welcomes a fresh approach to group exercise with the opening of Bassline Fitness, a 4,200 square-foot fitness studio offering two different workouts that are challenging and fun.

Taking up two storefronts at the intersection of Central Avenue and Lake Street, Bassline Fitness offers an exclusive and entertaining music-driven workout and a smaller class featuring instructor-led high-intensity interval training. Free classes are offered during an Open House December 13-15; advance reservations may be made by calling 425.739.4444 to reserve a seat.

A custom sound system and two 180-inch video screens flanking the stage are featured in the main studio where the MashUp class is the starring attraction. A creation of founder Dave Fox, the MashUp class offers 40 Spinning® bikes, 12 non-motorized Woodway treadmills, 10 Krankcycles® and two rowers. “We had standing-room-only crowds for this class when we offered it at our last club,” Fox noted. “This sound system will thump. Each sub woofer weighs 83 pounds and there are three of them. This sound system will be the best system in a group fitness room I’ve ever seen ... by far.“

Fox and his wife Angela are bringing their exercise prowess to Kirkland from Charleston, S.C. where they owned and operated two health clubs and two yoga studios. Fox has owned and operated fitness clubs across the U.S. since 1995, including three Gorilla Sports locations in San Francisco. Angela, a former professional model and mom of three, is a certified Spinning and Barre instructor.

Interval resistance training is the focus of Lean425, located in the adjacent space.  Based on a popular high intensity interval training program, Lean425 alternates cardio work on Woodway treadmills with weight training. Each day is a full body workout with emphasis on different muscle groups. Together MashUp and Lean425 provide flexibility in a workout routine along with the social benefits of group fitness.

Bassline Fitness classes are taught by experienced fitness instructors. Childcare is available in the Bassline Kids Cottage.  Pricing is variable with a drop-in class at $12 and a monthly membership at $80.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
