Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Races May 5

Come have fun with us at the Sammamish Trails District Pinewood Derby!

Saturday May 5th, 2012
Racing starts at 11:00am

Northwest Scouters is pleased to sponsor the 8th Annual Sammamish Trails District Pinewood Derby races for Cub Scouts in Kirkland and Redmond. Everyone had an outstanding time at last year's event and this year we are set to have very exciting and fun filled day for the Cub Scouts and their families.  Come join us and watch the racing action!

Redmond Town Center will host this year's races.  RTC is located in Redmond, WA, just east of intersection of 166th Ave. NE and Cleveland Street.

Every pack in Sammamish Trails is invited to send the top two racers from each Cub Scout rank (Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos).  Trophies will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners of each Cub Scout rank.  The winners of each class will compete in the Championship race and the first, second, third and fourth place winners of the Championship will be presented with medals.

All Cub Scouts that participate in the Pinewood Derby Races will be given a segment for their uniform.  Drawings will also be held during each rank of Cub Scout racing for door prizes.

For those parents and siblings that would like to get in on the racing fun we will have Open Class racing after the Cub Scout Championship races.  (All cars are to follow the Cub Scout Rules). Cub Scouts from adjoining Districts are invited to race in Open Class.

All Packs must email a list of participating scouts’ names, their rank, car name and email or phone number, to: DA_Russ52@yahoo.com  no later than Tuesday May 1st.

All Cub Scout and Open class pinewood derby cars must be built following the Official NWScouters "Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Rules" which is available on the Sammamish Trails District Website

Overweight cars will NOT be allowed to race in any competition!

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
