Day of Service - Sept 14, 2013

Participate in the Kirkland Day of Service.  Meet at the Church of Jesus Christ Building on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 9am located at the corner of 7910 N 132nd St & Juanita Drive, Kirkland WA 98034.  

We'll have a light continental breakfast, then get a service activity and go to work! Plan on serving for 3 to 4 hours.

Please wear clothing for outdoor conditions that can get dirty, and close-toed shoes.  Bring a filled water bottle and work gloves.

Service opportunities include:

1 - Green Kirkland Partnership Invasive Plant Removal/Mulch Spreading - bring work gloves, they provide tools

2 - City of Kirkland Storm/Fire Drain Marking using decals *weather permitting

3 - City of Kirkland parks maintenance - raking leaves, pruning of perennials, etc - bring work gloves, they provide tools

4 - Seattle Children's Hospital's Food for Families Initiative - assemble food bags from collected food items.
