Kirkland Kiwanis Foundation Announces Bill Petter Memorial Scholarships.

The Kirkland Kiwanis Foundation is proud to be able to offer several two-year $2,100 scholarships to graduating seniors within the geographic boundaries of the Lake Washington School District who want to pursue careers in the field of transportation technology.  The deadline for submission of applications is April 21st.

Bill Petter was a well-known Kirkland businessman, as well as a long-time member of the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland.  More importantly, he was a man who gave very generously back to the community, especially in ways intended to benefit children and young people.  Bill passed away in 2011, and thanks to the generosity of the Petter family we are able to offer these scholarships in his name.  Over the years Bill was involved in many facets of the automotive industry, hence our decision to offer a scholarship that focuses on Transportation Technology.

For more information, interested parties can talk with their school counselors, or log onto the club’s website at: kirkland.kiwanis.org to obtain in-depth information relating to the scholarship and application process or contact club secretary, Matt Gregory, at (425) 828-0231.
