Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance's Annual Meeting is on Thursday

On the agenda are the Juanita Woodlands restoration and the proposed new fire station on Finn Hill.

The on-going restoration work at the 40-acre Juanita Woodlands and other Finn Hill issues will be the focus of the annual general meeting of the Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance on Thursday.

The alliance was founded in 1994 in an effort to "preserve, protect and restore" the Finn Hill area's natural environment, and has been a driving force on issues involving the mostly unincorporated neighorhood ever since.

On June 1, much of the area will become part of the City of Kirkland due to annexation, and that will be another topic on the agenda. Another issue that will be discussed is the proposed new fire station on Finn Hill -- the alliance board has aready voted to inside .

The meeting is in the cafeteria of  (8040 NE 132nd St), 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, and is open to all.
