Green Kirkland Partnership Restoration Event

You are invited to participate in a forest restoration work party on a Friday. Please spread the word--this is a good opportunity for individuals, businesses, and schools to conduct community service during a week day. Please note that you need to bring your own lunch. You are welcome to join Green Kirkland Partnership volunteers at Watershed Park where EarthCorps will provide guidance to remove harmful invasive plants.  

Date: FRIDAY June 15
Time: 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Place: Watershed Park 112th Avenue NE Entrance (5000 block of 112^th Ave. NE, South of NE 53^rd Street, Kirkland). Directions are given below.

Suitable for: Adults, Teens, and Families. Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Youth 14 to 17 years should be accompanied by an adult, or bring a signed waiver form , or a parent/guardian to sign you in. Youth waiver forms can be obtained in advance from the City or EarthCorps websites.

Tools: EarthCorps and Kirkland Parks will provide tools and equipment.

Directions to Watershed Park (5000 block of 112^th Ave. NE, South of NE 53^rd Street, Kirkland 98033):

From 520: Take the 108^th Avenue NE Exit. Merge onto 108^th Ave. If coming from the west, merge onto 108^th Ave NE. If coming from the east, turn right onto 108^th Ave NE. Go straight on 108^th Ave NE. Turn right/east on NE 53^th St after B.E.S.T. High School. Turn right/south on 112^th Ave NE and registration is at the end of this road. Park along 112^th Ave.

From 405:  Take exit 17 towards NE 70^th Pl.  Turn left (west) onto NE 72nd Pl (becomes NE 68^th St).  After 0.4 mile, turn left onto 108^th Ave. NE.  After 0.8 mile turn left onto NE 53rd St.  Take a right/south onto 112^th Ave NE and registration is at the end of this road.  Park along 112^th Ave.
