Neighborhood Alliance and Park Board Both Meeting Tonight

  • The sun comes up at 6:35 a.m. and sets at 6:06 p.m.
  • It is Ash Wednesday, which on the Western Christian calendar marks the first day of Lent. It derives its name from the practice of placing ashes in the form of a cross on the foreheads of adherents, a sign of repentance.
  • The Kirkland Alliance of Neighborhoods meets at 7 p.m. in , 203 Market Street. On the agenda are discussions with City Manager Kurt Triplett, Neighborhood Services Coordinator Kari Page and Bob Burke of the Kirkland Heritage Society
  • The Kirkland Park Board meets in the council chambers at City Hall, 7 p.m., and will hear a report on crime in parks by the Kirkland Police and consider an action plan for the Totem Lake area.
