Traffic Alert: Expect Delays Downtown Saturday During NAMI Walk

Streets around Marina Park will be closed and pedestrian traffic will increase on Lake Street and Lake Washington Boulevard during the event to raise funds for mental health awareness.

Kirkland, Wash. – Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk of Washington to be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012. The following roads will be closed from 6:00 a.m. until approximately 1:00 p.m.:

·         Kirkland Avenue between Lake Street and Lakeshore Plaza Drive

·         Lakeshore Plaza Drive 

Commuters should watch for increased pedestrian traffic on the following roads from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.: 

  • Lake Street South between Kirkland Avenue and Lake Washington Boulevard
  • Lake Washington Boulevard between Lake Street South and Lakeview Drive
