Traffic Alert: Expect Delays During NAMI Walk Saturday

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Walk of Washington, to raise money to support mental health and increase awareness, will follow a route along Lake Street/Lake Washington Boulevard.

KIRKLAND, Wash – Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk of Washington to be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013.

Lakeshore Plaza Drive and Kirkland Avenue between Lake Street and Lakeshore Plaza Drive will be closed from 6 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. Commuters should watch for increased pedestrian traffic along Lake Street South and Lake Washington Boulevard from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The NAMI Walk hosts 1,500 participants during the event which raises money for mental health support and awareness. Event website information may be accessed at www.explorekirkland.com.
