2012 Community Celebration and Campaign Kickoff. Many Voices…One Jewish Community Eat. Sing. Give. The new face of the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle unfolds at McCaw Hall on Sunday, September 18 at the 2012 Community Celebration and Campaign Kickoff to raise awareness and funds to benefit the local and worldwide Jewish community. This year the Federation is thrilled to present the YouTube sensations The Maccabeats, an a cappella group from Yeshiva University which will make for a memorable evening of giving. Registration is now open for the 2012 Community Celebration and Campaign Kickoff. The evening will begin with registration and dinner at 5:00pm, followed by The Maccabeats’ first performance in Seattle at 6:30pm. Dinner, hosted beverage service and the show is included in the registration price of only $54 ($108 for patron level registration). The Maccabeats are an a cappella group from Yeshiva University in New York City and debuted on YouTube with their breakout video Candlelight in November 2010, which has had more than 5.5 million viewers. Since then, the group has appeared on the Today Show, CNN, ABC, and has performed for President Barrack Obama. The group has just concluded their first tour of Israel and will be headed to Seattle soon.
