Ceramic Surface Decoration

This hands-on workshop will show students unique techniques on decorating the ceramic surface at both the leather-hard and bisque stage. If you’ve been making pots and still dread having to glaze them, this is the class for you. We’ll explore various methods
of slip decorating on green pots, as well as many methods of on-glaze decoration, including resists, scraffito, brushwork, and stamping. Students may either bring their own pots to experiment on, or work with the sample provided. Prerequisite: Some clay experience required. Supply list available online.
