Contained Opening Reception - Kirkland Arts Center

Contained examines ways that containers function within our lives. From physical vessels to metaphorical manifestations, containers influence how we preserve and organize the world around us. In particular, Contained explores the ways that we use physical containers as metaphors for thoughts and memories.

Guest curator Katie Phelps is working with Kirkland Arts Center through the Emerging Curator Initiative, a collaboration between KAC and the Museology Master's Program at the University of Washington. Contained will serve as her Master's thesis project.
