Jazz for Japan

A Gathering of Japan-Loving Jazz Performers for Disaster Relief

Proceeds from ticket sales will also go directly to Peace Winds Japan Disaster Relief. Peace Winds America will be taking donations to fund their already-on-the-ground relief efforts, and will have info at the concert. Their trucks, shelters and shipments are in Japan right now.

Peace Winds Japan responded immediately to the March 11th earthquake and tsunami in northeast Japan. Despite transportation challenges, Peace Winds Japan was able to reach Miyagi Prefecture via helicopter to deliver critical supplies – such as food, cooking supplies, blankets, and telecommunications equipment – to disaster survivors.  http://peacewindsamerica.org
