Kirkland Arts Commission Seeks Grant Applications

The Arts Commission has $5,000 available for projects in Kirkland that promote performance art, literary art and other ventures in arts, culture or heritage. Applications must be in by May 8.

KIRKLAND, Wash. – The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission seeks innovative and creative ideas that showcase Kirkland’s arts, culture, and heritage. Artists and arts organizations who have a unique proposal that promotes performance art, literary art, and other artistic ventures can apply for funding available through the Commission.

Proposals are due by 4 p.m. on May 8, 2013. The Commission has $5,000 available in funding. Proposed activities must occur within Kirkland city limits and occur before October 13, 2013. The grant application form is available online at www.kirklandwa.gov or by contacting Philly Hoshko at phoshko@kirklandwa.gov or 425-587-3013.

The Commission will consider all proposals and make determinations at its May 15, 2013 meeting to be held at Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, Rose Hill Room, 4 to 6 p.m.
