Kirkland's Rosalynn Sumners Appearing at Ice Show Saturday

Sumners will appear at a meet-and-greet Saturday. Shows are Friday and Saturday.

 

Edmonds ice-skating legend Rosalynn Sumners will make a special appearance on Saturday at Olympicview Ice Arena in Mountlake Terrace.

As part of its 75th anniversary, the Seattle Skating Club has three professionally choreographed shows at the arena: Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 11 and 5 p.m. Sumners will be the host of a meet-and-greet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday between shows.

Sumners, a silver medalist at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, .

Also appearing with Sumners will be two pairs of Olympians: Ronnie and Cindy Kauffman (1964 and 1968 U.S. pairs) and Paul Askham and Sharon Jones (1988 British pairs). 

This weekend's shows will feature performances by local talent, past and present homegrown champions, and a special guest performance by Jozef “Jumpin’ Joe” Sabovcik an Olympic bronze medalist and European champion.

“Celebrating 75 Years” is Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Olympicview Ice Arena, 22202 70th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace. Tickets are $10 for those 13 and over, $7 for senior 65 and over and $5 for children 4-12. Children under 4 are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
