Merrill Gardens Hosting 'California Dreamin' Benefit for Hopelink

The food and music festival June 20 at the assisted living center in Kirkland will feature its Merrill Gardens Dancers -- who staged last year's fun 'Thriller' performance.

 

will celebrate the beginning of summer on June 20 with a food and music festival open to the public, featuring California-themed cuisine and wine tasting. All ticket proceeds will benefit .

Participants will enjoy Chef Dana Bietz’s unique California-themed buffet in the downtown assisted living center’s Gardens dining room. Wine tasting, featuring select California wines, will be available in RD’s Bistro, with live music provided by Mary Lord and Dynamite Limbo.

The highlight of the evening will be a performance by the Merrill Gardens Dancers, who will be premiering their new summer dance number.  These senior dancers, all residents of Merrill Gardens at Kirkland, received local acclaim and national social media attention for their “Thriller” dance performance and video in 2011. Suggested donation is $15, with proceeds going to Hopelink, a non-profit . Wine tasting is limited to guests 21 and over.  Seating is limited – reservations are required.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
