Simple Pleasures & Fanciful Daydreams - Howard Mandville Gallery

  • Where/When: Saturday, 10:30 a.m. (reception 6-8 p.m.), at .
  • Why Go: This new show at the gallery on Park Lane in downtown Kirkland features two Northwest women artists, Martha Brouwer and Anne Schreivogl, whose works focus on everyday life in a warm and whimsical way. Meet the artists during a reception on Saturday from 6-8 p.m
  • Cost: Free.

 

  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 30 - April 1, at .
  • Why Go: If you missed South Pacific last weekend at the KPC, this weekend will be your last chance to catch this inspiring performance. The performance is set in an island paradise during World War II and focuses on two parallel love stories that are threatened by the dangers of prejudice and war.
  • Cost: Adults: $37; Seniors: $35; Youths: $35.

 

  • Where/When: 7-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, at in Kirkland.
  • Why Go: Looking for some local live music this weekend? Two Twelve has you covered. Friday features James Bernard playing acoustic and electric guitar, roots blues and jazz. Saturday features Mark Bushbeck and Bill Chism, formerly of Vidals, playing bass and classical guitar tunes.
  • Cost: No cover.


  • Where/When: 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, at in Kirkland.
  • Why Go: This is the last weekend you’ll be able to catch Studio East’s production of Drowsy Chaperone. This delightful musical is sure to entertain audiences of all ages. Go see the show before it’s too late!
  • Cost: Tickets are $14 for adults and $12 for seniors and youths.



  • Where/When: 1-2 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at .
  • Why Go: Join the Eastside Park Rangers and Eastside Audubon to explore the shoreline, marshes, and meadows of Juanita Bay Park while viewing the abundant bird life and small mammals.
  • Cost: Free. No ticket required.

 

  • Where/When: 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 1 at in Renton.
  • Why Go: Come on out and show your Seahawks spirit at the 2012 Seahawks 12K Run this Sunday at The Landing. The run will start and finish at The Landing and run along the southeast shore of Lake Washington, offering participants a unique opportunity to run around the Seahawks training facility, the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Take part in the ROOT Sports Seahawks Spirit Contest by wearing your favorite Seahawks paraphernalia or costume! Prizes will be awarded to 10 lucky winners.
  • Cost: Registration ranges between $10 and $45.

 

  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, at .
  • Why Go: If you’re looking for laughs this weekend, you won’t have to travel very far to get them. Join Mike Vecchione and Cy Amundson at the Parlor Live and laugh the night away. Check out these YouTube clips of Vecchione and Amundson doing their thing to see if this show is for you.
  • Cost: Tickets range between $15 and $25.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
