ABC Conducting Casting Call for 'The Bachelor' in Renton

Last year the TV show's producers came to Kirkland's Carillon Point for a casting call and this year they are holding it in Renton on June 9.

Move over Hollywood and step aside Kirkland. Producers of the ABC television shows "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" must feel the Eastside is full of hot single men and women because they are planning a casting call for June 9 in Renton.

As you might recall, last June they did the same at Kirkland's Woodmark Hotel, and a couple years ago they were in Bellevue. This year, ABC producers will conduct a casting call June 9 from noon to 4 p.m. at The Landing in Renton, 828 N. 10th Place.

“We are very excited to be hosting the casting call,” said Sallye Soltner, marketing director for The Landing.

“The Bachelor producers are in love with the Seattle area, and several of the Bachelorettes from previous years have been from here,” she said. “The producers are hoping to find eligible ladies and men to compete on upcoming shows of ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’.”
