BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse Coming to Redmond Town Center

A representative from the shopping center says the new eatery is expected to open sometime next spring.

Redmond Town Center will soon be home to a new BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse location.

BJ's is a California-based chain of casual dining establishments known for their Chicago-style pizza and extensive beer selection. Christina Henning, senior marketing manager for Redmond Town Center, said the eatery is expected to open sometime next spring.

“I think it’ll add an interesting food option in Redmond,” Henning said. “We’re very, very excited to be bringing in this national restaurant tenant.”

BJ's is building a whole new stand-alone restaurant in the former location of Desert Fire, which closed about a month ago and was subsequently demolished. The Redmond location will be BJ's third in Washington state; the two other restaurants are located at Southcenter Mall and in Tacoma.

In other Redmond Town Center news, a Harley-Davidson accessory store opened a few weeks ago across from REI on 166th Avenue Northeast, Henning said. Permanent tenants are still being sought for the vacant spaces left by Borders, Ruby's Diner and Tully's.

Looking forward to the opening. Does anyone know when that is supposed to be?

Hi Brent, I checked in with Redmond Town Center about two weeks ago and they said it was looking like the first week of May, or so. I'll try to firm that up a bit more in the coming weeks.

I hope it will be open on May 3, 2013. I am meeting friends there.

Hi LouAnn, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but BJ's has announced an opening date of May 6. We posted an update here last week: http://patch.com/A-3RgV

The service here totally sucks they could care less if you are unhappy unless you are leaving and telling everyone waiting for a table that the place sucks. No idea how the food is only saw it for a second and asked them to box it up and 8 minutes later they still had not returned. No comp on my check when I complained to wait staff about it taking 40 minutes to make 2 sliders and fries and my dining partner NEVER got her club sandwich. What I saw of my food was way overpriced. Caitlin I do not know what planet you are from but this place is a joke they hide the mediocre overpriced food in a fancy environment. My suggestion is you look for a real restaurant.
