BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse Coming to Redmond Town Center

A representative from the shopping center says the new eatery is expected to open sometime next spring.

Redmond Town Center will soon be home to a new BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse location.

BJ's is a California-based chain of casual dining establishments known for their Chicago-style pizza and extensive beer selection. Christina Henning, senior marketing manager for Redmond Town Center, said the eatery is expected to open sometime next spring.

“I think it’ll add an interesting food option in Redmond,” Henning said. “We’re very, very excited to be bringing in this national restaurant tenant.”

BJ's is building a whole new stand-alone restaurant in the former location of Desert Fire, which closed about a month ago and was subsequently demolished. The Redmond location will be BJ's third in Washington state; the two other restaurants are located at Southcenter Mall and in Tacoma.

In other Redmond Town Center news, a Harley-Davidson accessory store opened a few weeks ago across from REI on 166th Avenue Northeast, Henning said. Permanent tenants are still being sought for the vacant spaces left by Borders, Rudy's Diner and Tully's, although a holiday arts and craft market is set to open in the Borders space later this month.

"Interesting food option" is correct. I ate at the BJs in La Puente/COI just a week ago. Not all that good. A bit overpriced, over oiled/cooked, and under-flavored. Sort-of like a less greasy TGI Fridays. Might do okay in RTC for lack of many great eateries (excepting Matt's), but I don't think it would stand a chance in Belle/Lincoln Squares.

I absolutely love this place. So excited to have it come to Redmond. Their pizza is the best pizza and their pizookie dessert is the best.
