Kirkland Companies Recognized by King County for Waste Prevention Efforts

The annual program honors local businesses and organizations that meet a series of environmentally friendly benchmarks.

Seventeen Kirkland workplaces have been honored by King County for their waste prevention and recycling efforts.

The annual Best Workplaces for Waste Prevention and Recycling honors local companies and organizations that meet a series of environmentally friendly benchmarks, such as offering reusable or compostable dishes in office kitchens and sending electronic invoices.

The following Kirkland workplaces made the list for 2013 (an asterisk designates companies that have been recognized five or more years in a row):
