Kirkland Resident Named Seattle Pacific Alumna of the Year

Margo Jarvies Engberg owns Pinkabella cupcake shops at Bellevue Square, Redmond Town Center, Alderwood and Southcenter.

Margo Jarvies Engberg, a Kirkland resident who turned a baking hobby into a thriving cupcake business, has been named 2013 Alumna of the Year by Seattle Pacific University.

Engberg owns and operates the Pinkabella cupcake shops at Redmond Town Center, Bellevue Square, Alderwood and Southcenter. Her 3-year-old business also caters for large corporate events and has donated more than 40,000 cupcakes to nonprofit organizations, according to the university.

Engberg and her Pinkabella cupcakes could soon become a household name, as she is apparently weighing offers for a reality TV show.

More on Engberg and her business can be found on the SPU website.
