NW University starts classes, Youth Council and Book Group

Essential information for today in Kirkland

1. Spring Semester classes begin today at Northwest University. Check out their undergraduate degree programs,graduate studies, and adult/evening programs.

2. The Kirkland Youth Council strives to provide a link between teens and the community. Meetings are from 6:45 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at City Hall. If you’re interested in representing the youth of Kirkland, please visit the City of Kirkland website for application information.

3. The Kirkland Book Group will meet today to discuss Irish novelist Colm Toibin’s book, “Brooklyn”. Sandy Eacker is leading this discussion from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Kirkland Branch Library.

4. If you’re interested in networking with other local entrepreneurs, join The Kirkland Self-Employed Community After Hours Mixer at Wilde Rover. The Meetup group will begin at 7 p.m.

5. Attorney Ted Barr will be speaking on “When Alcohol Awareness is Not Enough” today at the Rotary Club of Kirkland. The Rotary Club meets at 6:15 p.m. in the Woodmark Hotel in Carillon Point.
