Patch Partner Starbucks Offering Free Brewed Coffee or Tea on Earth Day

Bring a reuseable tumbler or mug to any location, including those in Kirkland.

Starbucks, a Patch.com partner with 10 locations in Kirkland, is honoring Earth Day on Friday by giving away free brewed coffee or tea. The tea can be hot or iced.

People will need to bring in a reusable tumbler or travel mug, according to aΒ postΒ on the company's website. If people do not have a tumbler or travel mug, they can ask for a "for here" cup and Starbucks will pick up the tab.

The company is doing this to help raise awareness about the environment. During last year's promotion, more than 1.2 million people participated, the company said.
