PSE Hosts Public Meetings on New Kirkland-Redmond Transmission Line

An advisory group has chosen a preferred route for the 115 kilovolt-line along Willows Road and Northeast 124th Street.

Puget Sound Energy will hold two public meetings next week to present information about the new Sammamish-Juanita transmission line.

Construction on the line, set to carry 115 kilovolts of energy between two substations in Redmond and Kirkland, is scheduled to begin as early as 2013. In July, an advisory group identified a route along Northeast 124th Street and Willows Road as its preferred option (see map).
