Redmond Top Pot Opens Friday—What's Your Favorite Doughnut?

Downtown Redmond will get a bit sweeter starting at 6 a.m. Friday.

Mmmm doughnuts. Along with beer and pizza, they're one of those ubiquitous American menu items that seem to bring people together from all background and walks of life.

Downtown Redmond will have one more place to pick up the tasty treats come 6 a.m. Friday, when Seattle-based Top Pot Doughnuts opens its 13th café below the Red 160 apartments on Cleveland Street.

What's your favorite kind of doughnut? Tell us in the comments section.

Along with doughnuts, Top Pot also serves hand-roasted coffee, espresso and other pastries. Free wi-fi is available in Top Pot's cafés.

Shop hours will be 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the weekends. The café's address is 16015 Cleveland St.

For the purposes of this highly scientific survey, sure. My traditional favorite has been the jelly doughnut, but I really like Top Pot's raspberry glazed rings...and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a pumpkin old-fashioned soon!

I can't believe it's within walking distance of me. That walk will burn off the calories, right? Right??

I like spudnuts, that is doughnuts that are made with potato flour. Melt-in-your mouth good! It's one reason that Krispy Kreme is popular. My favorite doughnuts in memory, though, are when I lived on the coast. The Grays Harbor Swanson's food store chain had the best!
