Video: How To Manage Your Free Business Listing On Patch

Attention local businesses: You have a home in our "Patch Places." Claim your free listing, hop online and add photos, menus, promotions, reach out to your customers and respond to ratings and reviews.

We want local businesses to claim their directory listings on Kirkland Patch because it helps people in the community find you, and it gives you added exposure.

Simply log in, find your business under the Directory tab and claim your free business listing by clicking "Do you own or manage this location? Claim it!" on the right side of your listing.

A great example is Tim's Seafood at Parkplace Center.

There are several free tools at your fingertips once you ghave claimed your Patch listing. Once you are approved, start by clicking the "Manage Your Listing" button on the left side of your listing to access your dashboard.

The dashboard will show you several tools:

  • Your Stats
  • Edit listing
  • Manage Photos & Media
  • Reviews
  • Free Tools
  • Paid Tools
  • Contact Sales

Your Stats

See who rated and reviewed your business. And who's following your listing. You can e-mail your customers to seek out more reviews, and link the "Directory" to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Edit Listing

Add photos, Web site information, hours of operation, contact information and more under the "Basic Info" tab. Some of this information cannot be changed, but you can request a new description if you think your business is inaccurately described.

Choose "Extra Info" to add information like the founding date of your business, what kinds of payments are accepted, if there's street parking or a lot, and more.

Manage Photos & Media

Add and edit photos and choose which image is featured. If you have video or PDFs, you would add that here, too.

Reviews

You can see what people have to say about your business and respond to each review personally.

Free Tools

Post events and add job openings to our classifieds section, also known as the "Marketplace."

Paid Tools:

You can upgrade your listing with a video profile, add a message from the owner and become a featured business on the "Places" page for a fee. You can learn more about these options and how to get in touch with a sales team member.
