Where Did You Get That? Lunch in Kirkland...at Five Guys Burgers

Every week we'll feature a photograph of something delicious from a Kirkland restaurant. Can you be the first to guess the restaurant—and the dish?

Update: It didn't take long for a Patch user to guess that we visited the new Five Guys Burgers at Totem Lake this week, but since it's a build your own kind of place, I'm still challenging you all to guess what my favorite Five Guys topping add-on I picked.

Original story:

Kirkland has some really great places to eat, and here's a chance to test your own culinary chops by guessing what this local favorite is and where we got it.

I visited a local restaurant for lunch and asked them to serve me the dish that's most popular with regular lunch customers. This week, it's probably fairly obvious what dish Patch user Steven Whitaker and I enjoyed for lunch, but where were we?

Can you guess what it is and where I got it in Kirkland? Tell us in the comments.

You can also participate by uploading a picture of your favorite local dish to Patch Pics & Clips and email the details to Kirkland@Patch.com, telling us where and what, and we might use it for a future "Where Did You Get That?"

The new 5 Guys in Totem Lake?

Too funny, Lisa, I was pretty sure it would be a short game today (I haven't even posted this on Facebook yet for guesses), but 5 Guys, where Steven and I had burgers with whatever we wanted on them--for a low, low price--is definitely worth checking out.

Lettuce Cheddar Cheese Tomato Grilled Onions
Perhaps a Pickle or two?
Jeanne Gustafson (Editor) March 15, 2013 at 03:54 pm
Pickles, cheddar, tomato, yep. But what's the magic ingredient? Not the grilled onions (I like my onions crunchy fresh)

One more guess:
Bar-b-q Sauce or Hot Sauce?
Jeanne Gustafson (Editor) March 15, 2013 at 04:10 pm
That's not it, Lisa, but I think next time I will try the hot sauce!

I'll end the suspense: my favorite add-on is grilled mushrooms (if there are mushrooms on a menu, they are always on my plate). Stay tuned for next week's game, and by the way, one of our Facebook fans told me The Slip does an amazing burger with peanut butter. Sounds really interesting!
