Brenda Nunes, Keller Williams Kirkland, has been selected from a distinguished pool of candidates to receive the national 2013 EverGreen Award from the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS’® (NAR’s) Green REsource Council. Only five recipients were selected to win the EverGreen Awards this year. The recipients were selected for the EverGreen Award by an independent panel of green industry professionals. Nunes was nominated for this annual award based on her commitments to the green industry, as well as her work within the community.
“Brenda has been an outstanding leader in the green real estate community,” said Tracey Forde, CEO of Keller Williams Kirkland. “Nunes brings over 15 years of environmental and geotechnical consulting industry experience to her work at Keller Williams and has expertise in storm water runoff and erosion, environmental hazards, and low-impact development,” continued Forde.
Nunes serves as an advocate, educator, and mentor for green real estate topics and has been a NAR Green instructor since 2008. She has earned green industry skills and has made a commitment to the advancement of the Green Building Industry. Nunes promotes and organizes local green events, such as Sustainable September, an annual public outreach event thorough the Kirkland Chamber of Commerce.

Nunes also serves a broad range of clients to help them make choices about sustainable or energy-efficient living, and provides an outstanding knowledge base and set of resources. She has demonstrated that she is the source of knowledge and experience in working with individuals interested in green and sustainable issues, and has shown a strong dedication to this flourishing niche of the real estate market.
“Throughout the country sustainable building design and green building practices is fast becoming accepted, and in certain cases mandatory. Agents who understand this major industry shift have equipped themselves with the right education, are developing green networks, and are actively promoting their green services,” said Nunes.
