New Youth Soccer Club Arrives in Kirkland

KIRKLAND, WA — The Eastside has a new start-up soccer academy. It’s Nowland Premier Soccer Academy, founded by Adam Nowland.

Adam has been a part of the Puget Sound soccer scene for a few years, at one point involved with the North Sound SeaWolves and Washington Crossfire. The Englishman has high-level playing experience in England.

In a crowded soccer marketplace, Nowland wants to highlight the differences. “The main message I want to convey is that NPSA is different from your average youth soccer club. Players that join our club will be provided with the best possible environment to develop their skills, understanding and passion for the game.”

To give players and parents a taste of what they offer, NPSA is having a ‘free December’ event.

“We will be hosting free training sessions in December,” says Nowland, “as this will give the parents and the players the ideal opportunity to see what we’re all about at no commitment or cost to them.”

MLS goalkeeper Doug Herrick is the Academy Director of Goalkeeping. Ian Weinberg formerly with the Tacoma Stars is the NPSA Director of Fitness.

Our vision is to provide a youth soccer club different from any other in the area currently. With so many large soccer organizations around these days it’s becoming increasingly difficult for players to find the personal attention and quality coaching that they need in order to develop and get good value for money. NPSA promises to provide the players with a program that covers all aspects of the modern game including;

A unified coaching curriculum

Professional, qualified coaches that have played the game at a high level

A Fitness Program directed by a former professional player

A professionally directed Goalkeeper Program ran by a current International and MLS signed GK

A Coerver based Technical Training program directed & implemented by a coach with 10 years experience in Coerver Training

The potential for our top teams each year to represent NPSA on a tour of England to visit professional academies and train with their age groups

NPSA is going to focus on fewer teams with smaller rosters so each player gets the necessary amount of playing time and quality coaching from coaches that are limited to a maximum of 3 teams per season. This structure will benefit each and every player that joins our program.
