Celebrate Kirkland Plans Auction to Fund Fourth of July Festivities

Help bring off Kirkland's annual Fourth of July celebration and fireworks by attending the auction this Sunday, Feb. 19, at Parkplace Center.

All those fun festivities downtown every Fourth of July don’t come free, so Celebrate Kirkland is planning an auction on President’s Day Weekend to help make this year’s parade and fireworks come off with a bang.

The auction is from 5-8 p.m. this Sunday, Feb. 19, at Parkplace Center, in the former TGIF restaurant above Rikki Rikki, and will include donated services such as spa treatments, fine wines, crafts, jewelry and more. A donation of $15 is requested -- donations are tax-deductible -- and wine and munchies will be served

Celebrate Kirkland operates under the auspices of the non-profit Kirkland Downtown Association and has produced the city’s Fourth of July festivities for 13 years, including its two parades (children’s and old-fashioned), the picnic at Marina Park and the spectacular fireworks show at night.

To bring it off, the group must raise about $60,00 annually. Find out about how to help here. Questions? Contact auction chairs Kellie Jordan, Penny Sweet and Elke Grimm at 425-686-0164.
