Junior Softball World Series Semifinals; Friday Market at Juanita Beach

Things you might want to know today, Friday, Aug. 19, 2011.

  • It’s that time of the week again! From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, take advantage of the fresh fruits and veggies, beautiful flowers, sweets, jewelry and more at the Juanita Friday Market. Today’s market includes a puppet show to entertain the kids and live music from the Foxley Family Band to get your toes tapping. The market is located at .
  • After almost a week of intense athletic competition, today is the Junior Softball World Series semifinals at . The results of today’s two games starting at 4:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. will determine which two teams will compete in tomorrow’s championship, which will be broadcast live by ESPN. It's free, of course.
