Little League Marching Through Town; Full "Super Moon" Tonight

Things you might like to know today, Saturday, March 19, 2011.

  • The moon is officially full this evening, and a "super moon" at that, being closer to Earth than any time in 18 years. Cloudy skies are in the forecast, but with breaks. The best viewing opportunities should be from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • The sun rises at 7:15 a.m. and sets at 7:20 p.m.
  • Traffic alert! The Kirkland American Little League Parade marches through town, so expect delays from 10 a.m. to about noon on the northbound and southbound lanes of Lakeshore Plaza Drive and the eastbound lanes of Central Way from Lakeshore Plaza Drive to Fourth Street.
