A Redmond woman hit the big jackpot by winning $6 million in the state lottery last week.
Dana Talbert, a 66-year-old housekeeper, had played the same numbers—her children's birthdates—since 1986, according to a news release from Washington's Lottery.
Talbert, who lives in a rented house with her daughter and grandson, said she purchased the winning ticket at the station on Totem Lake Boulevard in Kirkland.
"I usually check (the) winning numbers online," Talbert said in the news release. "When I checked at 4:50 this morning in my bedroom, I thought 'No, this can't be.'"
She said she will use her winnings to pay off bills and purchase a home.
