- The Drama Club presents the hip comedy "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" at 7 p.m. in the school gym. Tickets are $8. Additional performances are on Saturday.
- Accordion wizard Alex Sevastian, originally from Belarus, plays the Kirkland Performance Center at 7:30 p.m., tickets $16-20.... The Beaters will be rocking the Wilde Rover at 9 p.m., $5.... Acoustic guitarist Enrique Hanao, born in Colombia, will be delicately plucking the strings in classical, jazz and flamenco fashion at Olive You.
