Norkirk/Highlands Picnic; Junk in Your Trunk Sale; Green Kirkland Event

Things you might want to know today, Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011.

  • This morning’s sunrise is at 6:21 a.m. and tonight’s sunset is at 8 p.m.
  • Help beautify at the Green Kirkland Partnership Volunteer Event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This organization’s focus is to restore and maintain natural areas, such as wetlands and native plant life. Bring water, sturdy shoes and gloves and be prepared to get dirty! For more information and volunteer registration, click here.
  • Celebrate summer at the Norkirk and Highland Neighborhoods Picnic from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at . Family-friendly and fun-filled, this event features lots of food, arts and crafts table for the little ones, dunk tank, puppet show and even a 30-foot inflatable obstacle course. You and your friends can even get matching temporary tattoos, if you’re so inclined.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
