PET of the WEEK: Green-Eyed, Snow-White Gentry is Back in the Pink

Handsome 2-year-old cat needs a home after being rescued as a hungry, scratched-up stray.

Our friendly feline of the week is Gentry, a soulful, snow-white fellow with stunning green eyes who was found as a thin, hungry, gouged and scratched-up stray.

He is now at in Houghton and has the demeanor of an angel. No one at the shelter knows exactly where Gentry came from, but he has cleaned up beautifully. Like all cats at MEOW, he has been neutered (or spayed as the case may be), microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for FeLV/FIV (feline leukemia and feline aids).

Gentry is two years old, a stunning medium-haired Turkish Van mix. He's pretty laid back and relaxed and nothing seems to ruffle his feathers (or should we say fur?). He is fond of little jingle balls, crinkle balls, and just about anything else that rolls. He's always game for some catnip and offers his tummy for rubbing when he's feeling especially friendly.

Gentry will do well with older children and other cats. It's not known how he would do around dogs. He is currently interviewing humans for a full-time position as his forever friend. If you can provide a home for him or would like to check him out, see www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.
