Planning Commission to Take Up Green Codes; SIFF Screenings at KPC
Things you might want to know today, Thursday, June 9, 2011.
- The sun rises at 5:12 a.m. and sets at 9:05 p.m. -- the same as yesterday.
- The city Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the council chambers to take up the issue of Green Codes. These are revisions to existing code to encourage "green" development -- including providing for bicycle commuting, alternative energy vehicles and carpooling, and things like the use of pervious surfaces that allow water to reach the soil below.
- More Seattle International Film Fest screenings at the : Buck at 6:30 p.m. and Rene Goes to Hollywood at 8:30 p.m.
