Together Center Chair Barb de Michele welcomed the new board members.

“We are very pleased to gain Chandra and Mahbubul’s involvement. Both are community leaders with tremendous experience and skills that will further our ability to do more to help people,” de Michele said.

One of the first nonprofit multi-tenant centers in the nation, Together Center was designed first and foremost to lower barriers to finding help. Where East King County residents once needed to travel from Bothell to Renton or beyond to find help at individual locations, people from throughout the Eastside, now find comprehensive assistance at one location in downtown Redmond. Services include shelter, medical and dental care, child care assistance, youth and family counseling and more.

More than 60,000 people were helped through the campus last year. In addition, the nonprofit campus keeps lease rates as low as possible so agencies can do more and provides other efficiencies so agencies can focus their resources on clients.  In 2010, for example, Together Center saved agencies $230,000 in lease costs alone.

Together Center is located at 16225 NE 87th in Redmond. For more information, contact 425-869-6699 or visit www.togethercenter.org or www.facebook.com/togethercenter.
