Traffic Alert: Overnight Striping Work at 116th and I-405 Tuesday/Wednesday

Only one lane each way will be open as crews put the finishing touches on the major reconstruction of the busy Kirkland interchange, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Crews will close multiple lanes of NE 116th Street east of the I-405 interchange from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight Tuesday, Jan. 22, and Wednesday, Jan. 23, to add striping to the roadway.

One lane will remain open in each direction during the closure. Crews will also close the right lane of the northbound I-405 off-ramp at NE 116th Street from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Executive Advisory Group meets in Bellevue next week to discuss I-405 express toll lanes
WSDOT will host the I-405/SR 167 Executive Advisory Group kick-off meeting on Thursday, Jan. 24, in Bellevue to discuss funding and phasing for I-405 express toll lanes.

The first phase of I-405 express toll lanes between Bellevue and Lynnwood is currently under construction. When the Legislature authorized the project in 2011, they also asked WSDOT to re-engage the Executive Advisory Group in a series of work sessions around implementing express toll lanes on the full 40-mile I-405/SR 167 corridor and develop a plan for funding and phasing express toll lanes between Bellevue and Renton.

The first meeting is scheduled for:
