Weekend Planner: Beer Fest, Bike Racing, Drama and Jazz

Check our picks for the activities and events to take in this Father's Day Weekend.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend -- or what to do for old Pops on Father's Day Sunday. Kirkland Patch is coming to the rescue. Take Dad out to one of these events, depending on his interests. Beer, yoga, bike racing, jazz -- we've got something everyone.

Washington Brewers Festival

  • Where/When: 4-9 p.m. Friday, 11a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at .
  • Why Go: More than 50 Washington breweries -- more than 60 total -- will be on hand with more than 200 fine ales on tap -- you think good old Dad's not going to like that? Plus, there will be great live music, games like the keg toss, lots of food booths and great people-watching.
  • Pricing: $15 Friday, which includes four tokens for samples, and $25 Saturday and Sunday, which includes six sample tokens.

  • Where/When: Thursday through Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Use this weekend to balance your mind and body at one of Kirkland's premier Yoga studios, Ashram Yoga.  If you're inexperienced with Yoga, this is a great time to test out a class for free, meet your teachers, and see if Yoga is for you.   • Pricing: Free.

  • Where/When: 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at  in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Looking to get a little more excitement out of your weekend? Come out to Marymoor Park this Friday night and catch the Marymoor Velodrome track racing series. Watch these world class athletes compete under the spotlights from the stands or you can hang out in the grassy lawn. There's even a beer garden for adult refreshments.
  • Cost: Admission is $5, but people ages 16 and under are free.

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 2 p.m. on Sunday at in Redmond.
  • Why Go: Join SecondStory Repertory for their newest production, On Golden Pond. SecondStory always puts on a great show, and this production should be no different.  Can't make it this weekend? On Golden Pond will be showing through the last weekend of June.
  • Cost: Tickets are $25.

  • Where/When: 12 p.m - 2 p.m. Sat, June 18 at in Kirkland.
  • Why Go:Becky Selengut will be signing copies of her new book, Good Fish: Sustainable Seafood Recipes from the Pacific Coast at the Metropolitan Market in Kirkland this Saturday. So if Dad likes to call himself a chef, a signed copy of Good Fish might make the perfect Father's Day gift.
  • Cost: Free.

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Sat, June 18 at the in Bellevue.
  • Why Go: The Pacific Northwest doesn't see many high end fashion shows. So if fashion is your thing, you'll definitely want to check out designer Nune Hov's Summer Nights show this Saturday night. In addition to the fashion show, the event will also feature live music from Fusion, a jazz band led by Max Levin and raffle prizes that include an original art package from modern surrealist Mariam Hovhannisyan.
