Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old healing tradition from India that is linked to closely to the teachings and practice of yoga. The ancient art of Ayurveda is based on the concept that one’s physical, mental, and spiritual well-being comes from a number of sources, including a healthful diet based on one’s individual constitution. In her two all-vegetarian cookbooks, Amrita Sondhi provides new twists on
traditional Ayurvedic recipes, with special emphasis on recipes that are inspired by the growing popularity of whole grains (quinoa, bulgur, and barley), gluten-free meals, and raw foods.

The Ayurvedic diet is based on the concept of three doshas--vata (air), pitta (fire), and kapha (earth)--that influence our constitution. Each of us has a dominant dosha that we should strive to maintain at a healthy balance, but which can cause problems if excessive.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
