Melanoma Exposed™ Hosts FREE Skin Cancer Screening Event Before Seattle Seahawks Preseason Game
UV rays
are one of the main risk factors for melanoma, the deadliest form of skin
cancer. With the climate here in Seattle, many people may not think about
protecting themselves from the sun. However, up
to 80% of the sun’s harmful UV rays can pass through the clouds, even on an
overcast day.
This year, the Seahawks are joining
forces with Melanoma ExposedTM, an educational campaign that aims to raise
awareness of melanoma and its risk factors and encourages people to take a more
active role in their skin health. The
Seahawks and Melanoma Exposed are offering all 12s a chance to get a FREE skin
cancer screening before the August 29
preseason home game.
