Series: Parenting through Separation or Divorce
Four Sundays – Oct. 27, Nov 3, 10, & 17
2 - 4 p.m.
Divorce can be a time of grief for a child. Parental turmoil, different discipline styles, re-arranging schedules and more can add stress for the children. This series is open to any parent or community member who wants to be proactive about positive parenting during separation and divorce.
In this 4-session class series offered by Youth Eastside Services, parents will learn how to:
• Address children's emotions and manage grief
• Establish a kind and firm parenting style
• Strengthen the parent-child relationship
• Improve family harmony and reduce stress
• Avoid the pitfalls of post-divorce parenting
• Build a support network

Instructor: Jennifer Watanabe is a parent coach and certified Positive Discipline parenting educator. The mother of two adolescent sons, she has been teaching parenting classes at Bellevue College for 16 years.
