This 6 acre forested property overlooks Lake Washington and is linked by an extensive trail system to neighboring Big Finn Hill Park, O.O. Denny Park, and St. Edwards Park. A dense canopy of Western hemlock, big leaf maple, red alder, and Douglas Fir grow on the slopes of the steep ravine of Denny Creek.  This rich ecosystem supports a diverse, lush understory of salmonberry, red flowering currant, Indian plum, and sword fern and creates a high quality habitat for wildlife, including eagles that nest nearby.

WHAT TO BRING:
Please remember to dress for the weather.  Suggested Dress: Boots or comfortable athletic shoes, work clothes, rain gear and appropriate layers.  Volunteers should bring a refillable water bottle.  Snacks, drinks, tools and gloves will be provided.
