Earth Day at Bridle Trails State Park

Please join other volunteers to help us take care of our park on April 21st. This year we will be working on the Acheson property, donated to the park several years ago. This is where we worked last year removing non-native, invasive plants and storm debris.

This year we will be working to remove the remaining ivy and a little blackberry, and will be planting native plants in some of these areas.

We will supply snacks, beverages, and a free pizza lunch if you wish. Parking on the site is very limited, and we encourage carpools. Most people will need to park along nearby streets in the neighborhood (NE 54th Street, just east of 132nd Ave NE).

Bring work gloves, hand pruners, and shovels for yourself, if you have them. We will have some tools and extra gloves.

The address of the Acheson property is 5220 - 132nd Ave NE, Bellevue, just east or the main park. This is a Mapquest map of the location: http://mapq.st/r8WXqz.

Besides removing invasive plants, this year we will need about three volunteers to direct cars to parking areas from 8:30 till about 9:30. If you can help with parking, please contact Jim Erckmann at programs@bridletrails.org or (425) 827-6595.
