Kirkland Green: Sustainable Ed Series Starts April 18

The city is launching in April a four-part series of programs on how residents can live more sustainably.

 

The city of Kirkland is launching a four-part series of programs on how residents can live more sustainably, starting April 18 starting with a movie about plastics.

Kirkland, Wash, – Are you interested in learning more about plastics and making greener consumer choices? Have you ever wanted to tour a recycling center and see what happens to your recyclables? Are you looking to use energy more efficiently in your home or start composting right in your backyard? Then the Kirkland Sustainability Education Series is for you! This four-part series aims to broaden what Kirkland residents already know about sustainability through a variety of classes, tours and hands-on workshops.

  • Backyard Composting 101: May 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Kirkland Public Works Maintenance Center
