"Contained" Opens at Kirkland Arts Center Friday
Containers, both literal and metaphorical, take the walls of the KAC gallery for a next exhibition titled Contained.
IT'S TIME for a new exhibition of artwork at the Kirkland Arts Center Gallery. Contained, a group show curated by Katie Phelps, is this year's Emerging Curator Initiative exhibition. The ECI is a partnership between the Kirkland Arts Center Gallery and the University of Washington's Museology Program.
This exhibition is Katie's Master's thesis project and is comprised of work by Michelle Anderst, Mark Bennett, Zack Bent, Joshua Bloch, Eduardo Calderón, Karen Hackenberg, Elizabeth Halfacre, Amy Hamblin, Victoria Haven, Terry Leness, and Colin Tuis Nesbit.
Please stop by the gallery on Friday, Feb. 17, from 6-8:30pm for the free opening reception. There will be food, drinks, and conversation with Katie and many of the featured artists. The exhibition is on view through March 22. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday from 11am-6pm, Saturday from 11am-5pm.
