Leadership Eastside announces 2014-2015 Board of Directors

The board for Leadership Eastside (LE) approved a new slate of officers and directors at its June board meeting, electing Chair Janet Ray, AAA Washington; Chair-Elect Jeff Borgida, Republic Services; Immediate Past Chair Jeni Craswell, Imagine Housing; Finance Chair Matt Bott, Issaquah Chamber of Commerce; and At Large Member Kevin Espirito, Microsoft.

“I am thrilled to be working with such an outstanding Executive Committee as we lead Leadership Eastside into its 10th year,” said President and Executive Director James Whitfield. 

The Board also elected seven new members: Becky Evans, Boeing, (LE ’14); Robin Callahan, Issaquah Schools Foundation, (LE ’14); Linda Hall, YWCA (LE’s Executive Insight) Angela Kugler, Digipen, (LE ’14); Sylvia Honores, Bellevue School District (LE ’15); Kimberly Scott (LE ’14), Washington Society of CPAs; and Marcus Wright (LE ’13), Symetra.

The new board members bring the total number of directors to 16 as of July 1 when the new board takes effect, joining a distinguished group of Eastside leaders: Patrick Bannon (LE’11), Bellevue Downtown Association; Aaron Dipzinski (LE’14), Bellevue Children’s Clinic & Surgery Center; Louis Mendoza (LE’13), United Way of King County; and Keri Pravitz (AB ’98), Puget Sound Energy. 

“This board represents the future of LE and the future of our community – talented, diverse, and passionate about helping the greater good on the Eastside,” said new Board Chair, Jan Ray of AAA Washington.

Leadership Eastside informs, equips and connects the community’s greatest assets – its leaders - to meet the community’s greatest needs through its Adaptive Leadership Enrichment programs, State of the Eastside forums, and The LE Network – more than 1,500 people and organizations working together to make a difference on the Eastside.
