Free Breast Cancer Screening on March 1

Ford of Kirkland and HealthFair are sponsoring the screening at the Totem Lake Fred Meyer, free to those lacking insurance.

Ford of Kirkland and the mobile testing company HealthFair USA are offering breast cancer screening on March 1 at the Totem Lake Fred Meyer store, free to those lacking insurance.

Space is limited, but spots are still available, says Jim Walen of Ford of Kirkland. Walen’s wife, Kirkland City Councilmember Amy Walen, who also works at Ford of Kirkland, is a breast cancer survivor herself. See a 2011 Patch profile of her here: http://kirkland.patch.com/articles/amy-walen-council-member-passionately-projects-her-vision-for-kirkland.

Fred Meyer is at 12221 120th Ave. N.E. and the screening will be from from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
